Many say Global Warming Myth is causing needless hysteria
The debate on the cause and effect of global warming is continuing to heat up - almost as much as the Earth’s core temperature - with both sides of the argument presenting their evidence.
"Doubters" say the global warming myth is being perpetrated by a few alarmist groups using flawed scientific research. They offer their own evidence that the climate changes being experienced today are the result of natural cooling and heating cycles the planet has seen over the past several thousand years.
The same groups claim the global warming myth is being spread by alarmist news media - journalists that would rather publish anything to sell their product, instead of weighing all the evidence to draw an accurate conclusion.
However, environmental studies of the Earth and core samples from glacial areas have been provided as proof that the biggest global warming myth being spread is that "Global Warming is a Myth."
It is easy for those with a vested interest in some humans' selfish habits remaining at the status quo to insist the global warming myth is only to provide mass hysteria and force expensive change based on flawed information.
Many of the industries that rely on the use of fossil fuels for their very existence have their own scientific data to support their argument that a few environmental extremists are using this information to put them out of business.
Countries Choosing Sides In Heated Debate
The Kyoto Protocol was signed by many countries (175, as of June 2007), promising to reduce carbon dioxide emissions within their borders.
But many industrialized nations refused to agree (the United States and Australia have not ratified the treaty), contending the information on which it was based was incomplete and couldn’t justify the financial cost of the effort (And with quickly developing China and India not included in those countries to be "carbon-capped," ratifying the treaty may indeed be insignificant).
While these countries may see some value to the provided data, they believe the global warming myth being spread is only to help environmental groups reach their goals.
These countries contend that the destruction of industries using coal and oil almost exclusively is not worth the expense of agreeing to end production, and claim that running with the global warming myth will cause more harm in the long run than what climate change will cost.
Additionally, they point to many of the computer models as failing to include all variables that could affect the atmosphere.
Another problem involved in the debate on global warming: Many may believe all the evidence points to an elaborate global warming myth simply because they do not understand the information being presented.
Putting the data into terms that regular people (and not just the scientists) can understand may help get the message out that the Global Warming Myth . . .
